A discovery that changed history: in the late 1970s, a thermal spring was discovered in Bibione, located 500 metres underground, just a few kilometres from the beach. The thermal water used at Bibione Thermae flows at 52°C from a source located in the Bibione hinterland at a depth of over 500 metres. Classified as hyperthermal, medium mineral, alkaline sodium bicarbonate fluoride, this water is recognised for its therapeutic properties by the Ministry of Health, making some treatment cycles covered by the National Health Service.

At Bibione Thermae, hydrokinesitherapy is performed in its best form, thanks to the therapeutic synergy between 35°C thermal water and traditional physiokinesitherapy for the treatment of orthopaedic, rheumatic and neurological disorders.
The muds of Bibione Thermae, composed of thermal water and precious clay, are recommended for treating conditions such as osteoarthritis and extra-articular rheumatism – and in this case too, they follow protocols recognised by the Ministry of Health and approved by the National Health Service.
