In the asparagus land
Between sea and tradition, history goes on: gastronomic paths discovering the white asparagus. A selected group of restaurateurs of the territory between Bibione and Bevazzana will prepare the asparagus in many refined couplings to satisfy everyone’s taste.
Ascom Confcommercio Bibione - San Michele al Tagliamento has once again stated its commitment with the restaurateurs and the territory organizing the cultural gastronomic path called “In the asparagus land 2008”.
This year the event will take place in May: the participating restaurants will prepare on their evening a menu completely based on Asparagus. This is the right occasion to taste the WHITE ASPARAGUS FROM BIBIONE in both traditional and new receipts: this tuber is cultivated and manually packed in this area and it is ackowledged as Traditional Product of the Province of Venice.
The opening of the usual gastronomic event will be on Friday 2nd May at 8.30 pm, at the “ACAPULCO” restaurant in Bibione Pineda, with a menu that will be able to intensify the flavour of this precious asparagus with a slightly salty taste.
After the dinner, a program with special events to get more in touch with tradition and taste.
