An inhabitant of Bibione in the cycling elite

Franco Pellizotti will be part of the Liquigas Sport SpA also this year: this team was born in 2004 to manage a team of professionals and it has confirmed its participation to Pro Tour for 2008.

Everyone knows him as the Dolphin of Bibione but his real name is Franco Pellizotti, a professional cyclist since 2001. Franco is born in Latisana but he lived in Bibione until 2002.

Married to Claudia, he has a child called Giacomo and obtained many good placings already when he was an amateur cyclist. Franco Pellizotti will be part of the Liquigas Sport SpA also this year: this team was born in 2004 to manage a team of professionals and it has confirmed its participation to Pro Tour for 2008.

Franco Pellizotti entered Liquigas in 2005 and with this team he participated in the Giro d’Italia in 2006. Right on that occasion, the Dolphin obtained one of the most important successes of his career: the victory of the lap of Peschici and the eighth place in the general results. Franco Pellizotti took also part to the World Championships in Verona in 2004.
