Bibione, the second beach in Italy for guests’ number, with its 8 km long golden beach, 12 blue flags in a raw and an up-to-date tourism offer measure on European quality standard, has chosen for it 2008-2009 campaign Vanessa Incontrada, talented moderator and actress, loved and supported not only by the Italian audience.
“The choice of Vanessa Incontrada as testimonial for Bibione - explains Elisabetta Dotto, President of the Consorzio per la Promozione Turistica del Veneto Orientale (CPTVO) – aims to give to our wonderful beach more visibility an reach a greater audience. Bibione, in only 50 years, has suddenly become the second Italian beach; it registered a clear increment of tourists, reaching 6 million presences only during the summer months. All this was mainly possible thanks to the quality standards of its sea and services - known in Italy and abroad; but also, thanks to a successful communication campaign. We take inspiration from the marketing strategies applied by the big brands, using the most efficient communication channels and choosing a clear, direct and innovative language”.
The speech continues and gains emotional memento: “If Italy would move abroad with the same strength and enthusiasm of the local territories; but above all, if there would be a strategic coordination on national tourism at a global level, our tourism enterprises could register a 2-digits growth, launching again Italy and its sea, thus turning them into one of the first destinations at an international level. While waiting for this development, we focus on our results and keep moving forward”.
Vanessa Incontrada, one of the most appreciated personalities of the small and big screen, created a bond with Bibione in a very fortunate moment for the Venetian sea side locality that closed the 2007 summer season with a 5.36% growth as far as the guests number is concerned. The choice to select a testimonial is one of the many elements, along a specific timeframe, of the ambitious development and re-qualification program for the land of Bibione that the CPTVO implemented in a synergy approach with the Municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento and in cooperation with Bibione Spiaggia s.r.l., all tourisms’ enterprises and the other public entities of Bibione.
The program of the Consortium for the Tourism Promotion and the Municipality of San Michele al Tagliamento – which already achieved the construction of ca. 30 km of cycling routes as well as to sponsor a prestigious professional cycling team – has already set new gaols for the 2008 season: to improve the facilities, the services and the communication activities of Bibione, beside organizing unforgettable and eye-catching events that will confirm Bibione as ideal tourism destination not only for Italian and foreign families (already loyal to this seaside locality), but also for the youngsters and sports fans.

The campaign, with Vanessa Incontrada as protagonist, includes a tight agenda as far as the presence on the main mass media channels is concerned. Especially with regard to the radio channels: Bibione has signed an important partnership with Radio 101, which will closely follow – over the whole summer – the life of this beautiful Venetian sea-side locality with a program full of events. Among them, there are the two evenings moderated by the testimonial and planned with a clear aim: place the locality in the spotlight and surprise and entertain its guests.
