From cantina to cantina at the discovery of the "Doge’s vineyards"
The “Doge’s vineyards" route: where history, traditions and savours mix perfectly together.
It is not to be considered as a mere excursion, a simple itinerary to follow: indeed, it is a constant discovery of both the exquisite welcome granted by the selected wine producers and of an area rich in art and history.
The “Doge’s vineyardsö route winds between Portogruaro and Concordia Sagittaria, Cordovado and Alvisopoli, Lison and Belfiore, Sesto al Reghena and Chions, Annone Veneto and Loncon, Motta di Livenza and San Stino and many other small cities which are witnesses of a past marked by remarkable art and history.
From village to village, from small city to small city, you will have the chance to meet the wine growers associated with “Lison-Pramaggiore", the Consortium for the preservation of wines with controlled denomination of origin (the so-called "DOC wines").
In all these wine producing companies, marked by a sign reproducing the St. Mark’s lion, you can taste and buy the DOC wines.

- Wine Cooperation Lison
"Lison-Pramaggiore", the Consortium for the preservation of wines with controlled denomination of origin (abbreviated: DOC wines), was founded on Nov. 3rd, 1974 aiming at the protection and preservation of the three wines that at that time were identified as DOC ones: Tocai of Lison, Merlot and Cabernet of Pramaggiore.
The seat of the Consortium lies in Pramaggiore in the Palace of the Wine National Exhibition.
Its main activity is to control that the wines produced by its associated growers are put on the market in the full respect of the Italian and European laws.
Therefore the Consortium exercises its control faculty in order to prevent from abuse and fraud carried out by an out of order use of the Lison-Pramaggiore denomination, in this way looking after its associates’ interest.
Moreover, the Consortium offers its associates a high standard technical assistance service as to vine-growing and oenology. As well, by research and experimentation, it assures its members up-to-date information on how to make the most of the peculiarities of their vineyards.
A modern and equipped laboratory for oeno-chemical and soil analysis is also operating by the Consortium. The laboratory is acknowledged as to the UNI EN 17025 rule and is officially authorised by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
