May Festival and Septemberfest

The May Festival and September Fest in Bibione, both organised by the Association of Property and Tourism Agencies, celebrate traditional local food and wine.

There are two food and wine events not to be missed in Bibione: one at the start and one at the end of the Summer season. They begin with the third edition of the May Festival on 29th–30th May 2013 (to be held this year in Piazzale Zenit) and end with the 30th edition of the Bibione Septemberfest, the great celebration of typical wine and food held during harvest time, on 11th and 12th September 2013.

Septemberfest is an unmissable experience which, for 30 seasons now, has delighted tourists in a long celebration filled with partying, music, good wine and local produce, held, unsurprisingly, in September. For some years open to everyone, not just ABIT guests, the event is a profusion of vibrant colours and scents: food and wine stands offering typical produce such as giant mortella cooked ham, sardines, polenta, wild boar, porchetta suckling pig and sweets for children. But the best thing about the two days of the Septemberfest is the free red and white wine (exclusively from the CDO Lison Pramaggiore area!), sampled in glasses specially created each year for the event, and given as presents by the Agencies to their clients together with a wine bag, a quirky souvenir glass carrier

Lots of live music will make the atmosphere even more electric and there is plenty of entertainment for children: fun trains, acrobats, fire-eaters, clowns and jugglers will keep them busy with lots of games and activities.

Every year, this wonderful experience has a fireworks display as its grand finale, with a rainbow of fireworks set to music plunging into the sea.

Just as the Septemberfest is the combined September event that lights up Piazzale Zenit, in the same way our May Festival, the food and wine experience, welcomes holidaymakers with traditional Italian dishes served with Lison Pramaggiore wines, along with a huge number of traditional Veneto specialties.
